The role of Web Analyst at FMP 

We are looking for an experienced Web Analyst who will support and develop our use of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager here at Findmypast. As well as ensuring existing and future tracking is of a high standard, you will also work closely with our Product, Engineering & Marketing teams, providing them with actionable insights.

Reporting into our Digital Implementation Manager, you will help support data collection and decision making through impactful analysis and insight. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with a wide range of analytics projects at FMP, driving our web analytics forward while partnering with the wider business.

 

What you’ll be working on:

 

Engineering – Support

  • Advising developers on tracking requirements for experiments and new features.
  • UAT-ing new features’ tracking.
  • Setting up new events/custom dimensions using GTM & GA.

 

Product – Support

  • Advising on the most appropriate metrics to track for experiments.
  • Help with report/dashboard setup to monitor experiments and new features.
  • Help with insights/interpretations.

 

Marketing & CRM – Support

  • Implementing marketing tags.
  • Help with report/dashboard setup to monitor campaign & channel performance.
  • Help with insights/interpretations.

 

 

requirements

Who you are:

  • You have relevant commercial experience in Digital / Web Analytics.
  • You have experience with Google Analytics 360.
  • You have hands-on experience setting up advanced implementations of Google Analytics (including data layers and e-commerce tracking).
  • Proficient with Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Google Data Studio or PowerBI.
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple pieces of work and organise time effectively.
  • You seek to improve and streamline processes and aren’t afraid to test new ideas.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience conducting and analysis A/B tests.
  • Experience with Google Optimize or similar.
  • Knowledge of HTML and Javascript.
  • Experience with BigQuery or SQL.
